A Brief History of Stained Glass
Learn all about this beautiful art form with the founder of Prairie Studio Glass, Brian McMillan. Stained glass is the jewel in the crown of most cathedrals around the world. In this presentation we will start the discussion by considering gothic stained glass and how it was made and then moving into how the art form evolved in the last 150 years. We will look at work from around the world by William Morris, Charles Rennie MacIntosh, Tiffany, Frank Lloyd Wright etc. Recent projects in stained and fused glass by Prairie Studio Glass will show the current direction art glass is taking.
