Learn to play African djembe drums in this fun and entertaining workshop. Led by Winnipeg drummer Jay Stoller, this workshop introduces participants to drumming technique, basic African Drum rhythms, and offers insight into the background culture of West Africa. Jay began playing African drums in 1990 while living and studying in the country of Ghana for 4 years. He has since been sharing his knowledge of this musical style with children and adults throughout the province’s schools, community centers and festivals. Drums are provided. No experience necessary.
