Presenter Grant Simpson takes us back to the days when over 25,000 vaudevillians toured the continent playing over 4000 theatres. The days when you could buy a ticket to a show that included animal acts, jugglers, comedians, singing stars, World famous actors and actresses, whistlers, chorus lines that danced the can-can and the Charleston and everything else under the sun. Vaudeville was entertainment for the working-classes, and it gave birth to the greatest entertainers in our history. From Fred Astaire to Jack Benny to Bob Hope, Sophie Tucker. Mae West, Charley Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and hundreds of others.
