The Metis Buffalo Hunt

Free - For Members Only

Program Description

The Metis Buffalo Hunt: Metis Government in Action The system the Metis used to run their buffalo hunts was complex. It is also the basis of their political and governmental systems. Although never written down by the Metis themselves, other sources did record its operations. The Hunt discipline also helps to explain why the Metis operated the way they did in 1870 – the Confederation of Manitoba.
